A Gift from Maldives part 2

Hello second trimester! Most of the time during this second trimester, I feel so energetic.. Everything seems to be back to my normal body without any nausea, flu and cough and hello to my eating appetite.. I begun able to cook again daily for our lunch and dinner.. Hubby still provides me with a glass of pregnancy milk every morning..

I spent my last few days of January to visit Surabaya.. I told my mom I want to have some pleasant foods, and mom is going to attend my cousins wedding there.. So we managed to book the same flight to Surabaya and meet at the airport.. I flew alone since hubby still needs to wait for his “holiday-period”.. I really miss Surabaya’s food.. Haven’t been there since 5 years ago.. Well yeah, I ate Semanggi, Lontong Kupang (just a portion :p), Lontong Balap, Halim’s Pigeon, etc! It’s not a part of food craving.. I just missed those food since so long ago..

Anyway, mom and I flew back to Jakarta, while hubby still in Samarinda.. I use Citilink Aircraft VV without any problem due to my pregnancy.. Well at least just prepare the doctor’s approval letter to fly, although from Surabaya to Jakarta, they didn’t notice my pregnancy bumps..  I spent another 2weeks in Jakarta.. Hubby came to Jakarta nearly the Chinese New Year day.. This year is our first year to gave Hong Bao to our nieces and nephews.. We went to one of the favorite Obgyn in Jakarta suggested by my sister in law, Dr. Tjien Ronny to check our baby.. We finally know that we have a baby boy (and we’re so happy of that).. Finally, it’s the time to find our baby names! He said everything is normal, just that my placenta is still “low”.. Should wait for couples of weeks to check again and hope it will goes normal as well..  After spending our happy day in Jakarta, then we flew back to Samarinda and back to routine again *sigh*

On April 4th to 7th we went to Jakarta again.. This time hubby need to go Cheng Beng (praying for his parents).. So we gather with his brother and sister, together with our nephews (yes, we have a new nephew born last February).. I use this chance to visit another Obgyn nearby my house, he is so famous with his 4D USG (although he didn’t want to do 4D USG if everything normal), Dr. Calvin Tjong.. The queue was quite bad, but still better than Samarinda’s Obgyn (anyway, we usually used another Obgyn in Samarinda which is Dr. Wahyu in RSIA Aisyah to avoid long queue in order to get doctor’s approval letter to fly).. Dr. Calvin said everything is normal as well.. He required me to check my glucose, toxo and rubella.. Everything went well, just that I don’t have any toxo antibody, so I really need to be careful with the food hygiene.. Anyway, I’m pretty sure I will have my baby to be deliver with him.. So I booked another meeting for May (yeah, you should book one month in advance to meet him)

Well, to sum up my second trimester.. I feel so blessed to have everything in normal (especially my appetite).. I’m also able to feel his little kicks inside my bumps (although its kinda annoying especially when I want to pee and he kicks me out).. A little stretch-mark is quite visible in some part of my body.. Sometimes back pain come and go while I stay too long in one position but it’s still alright.. My weight currently increasing about 1kg-1.5kg per month, so does my bumps is getting bigger (most ex-pregnant people said it looks like their first trimester bumps).. Doctors requires me to drink more water as they afraid my amniotic fluid is not enough.. I really hope that my third trimester will be as enjoyable as this second trimester :D

A Gift from Maldives part 1

After back from the island, I'm wondering on my period time.. It's been 6 weeks since my period due date which means I'm late for 2 weeks time.. I told hubby that should we check on a test pack, caused I never have more than 5 days late for it.. Then we went to Guardian to buy a test pack..

Early in the morning, hubby woke me up and asked me to test it.. It was a shocking result.. Two lines on my test pack, means I'm positive with no nausea at all.. I told hubby, he then brows on the internet to find obygn in Samarinda.. So we arrange the time, after he finished his office time, we try to find the doctor..

First we went to Dr. Djaja Santosa in Kimia Farma Pharmacy.. The queue is like hell.. We decided to register, then try to find another obygn.. So we went to Drajat Hospital, one of the big hospital here.. Too bad, the doctor hasn't come, and there's 10 people had been register to find him.. Then we decided to go back to the first obygn after our dinner..

After a long queue, we finally met the doctor.. He asked for my last period date, then ask me to do the USG.. It's the first time I saw my baby was there, inside my tummy! He told me that my baby is around 5th weeks already.. I wonder is it that fast?! Then I realize, that they count 5th weeks from the last period date, due to some people don't know their ovulation time.. Since, I always record my period time, I recognized my ovulation period is on the 26th wherein that time, we're on our honeymoon.. Thus, this baby was made in Maldives.. Hahaha! Anyway, the doctor gave me allylestrenol and vitamin to be taken everday..
The next day, after taking the medicine, I feel a bit nausea, I lose my appetite, especially when I cooked some meals, I really don't want to smell it.. I'm wondering why the nausea suddenly came.. At that day, I'm just able to drink some milk.. I wait for 3 days, but still, I lose my appetite.. I began to fallen sick.. I got sore throat, cough and sometimes I feel a bit dizzy.. Hubby asked me to find a doctor.. This time, another obygn.. Thus, we found Dr. Novia Fransisca in Kellyn Pharmacy.. The queue worse than Dr. Djaja, but we could register by phone after the first visit.. On our first visit, we finally met the doctor around 10pm.. She check on my tummy from USG, but it’s not clear enough due to I didn’t drink plenty water.. So she decided to use the Trans-vagina USG.. She then check the heartbeat of my baby.. That’s the first time I heard those amazing sound of heartbeat! I told her I feel nausea and having a bad cough.. She changed my vitamin, and gave me some medicine for my cough, sore throat and nausea..

Day after, suddenly I was bleeding.. Not much, just a bit of reddish.. I thought it would be fine and wait for couples days.. The next day it’s just like some dots of reddish, and I thought tomorrow will be ok (well, it is..) After a few day, suddenly the bleeding came again, its fewer than before, but hubby asked me to find the doctor again.. So we went to see her again.. She check using USG, and she said luckily the heartbeat still there.. She said bleeding means there’s a problem with the fetus.. So she gave me another allylestrenol and asked me to bed rest.. If there’s still some blood, I need to be hospitalized.. Thank God I wasn’t!! Having such a supportive hubby really made my day! He always make a glass of pregnancy milk in the morning, before going to work, and at night, a glass of Ensure before sleep to maintain my body’s supplement..

Days past, the next month we check our baby, it's already 9th weeks.. The baby growth is normal.. I still feel a bit nausea sometimes, but it’s getting better.. Feel like I don’t really like my own dish and prefer to eat somewhere else.. Everytime after I cook, I really feel don’t like eating.. I always smell something bad, which leads me to super sensitive smells (hubby couldn't scene any smell, but I did..) I hate going to bathroom and always feel the house is frowzy.. Luckily hubby is very supportive.. He asked a handyman to repair the bathroom.. It’s quite helping to reduce the smell.. On the 11weeks, I got a bad cough again.. This time hubby also got the flu, we pass the diseases to one and other badly.. So we spent time to rest on the 31st December, and at night, we couldn’t really enjoy the bbq due to sore-throat..

Today is the last day of my first trimester.. I’ve pass through it nicely (although my weight decrease 2-3kg due to nausea, cough and losing my appetite..) Can’t wait for the next visit to the doctor to see my baby again.. It scheduled on the 10th January, on his/her 13th weeks..

Maldivian Honeymoon

We really glad we had this opportunity to go to Maldives for our honeymoon destination..
Anyway, due to my hubby forgetfulness, we go to Balikpapan early on the 21st of Oct which actually our plane scheduled on the 22nd of Oct.. So we stay overnight in a hotel in Balikpapan due to he left his passport in Jakarta.. So he asked a guy from Jakarta to bring it to Balikpapan.. LOL..

On th 22nd, my dad text me that when we arrived at Singapore, I need to see my uncle as he is diagnosed with a cancer.. Thus, when we transit for about 4 hours at Singapore, we're in rush to meet my sister to get some pocket money from her, and then go to my uncle's house.. At night, we finally fly from Singapore to Male City..
Arriving at Male City was a shock for us.. Jakarta's airport is much much better than their airport, especially due to some renovation going on.. We're picked up by our hotel representative to be send to the hotel using somekind of old minibus without aircond... Along the way, we saw nothing.. Everything seems so dark, only some small houses on the roadside.. Hubby said it was like we're inside the horror movie where we'll be discarded soon in this unknown island.. Thank God we arrived at our small hotel safely.. This hotel is facing the sea, a small brand new budgeted hotel.. We then served some welcome drinks and we went to our room to clean our self.. After that we go to the lobby to surf the internet.. Luckily they have a good WiFi there..

On the 23rd, we planned to see the Male City.. Our hotel representative and another hotel guess come along with us.. We use a ferry to cross get to the city from the Airport's island.. When we arrived, we saw the city map.. Well, I should say I'm so lucky I lived in a big city like Jakarta although its always jammed everyday.. Male city is so small, and they have nothing for their place of interest.. Only one national museum, one big mosque, one Sultan park, and their traditional market.. Some houses in Pantai Indah Kapuk were nicer and bigger than their President office building.. Thus, we decided to shop for souvenir rather than having the city tour..
Anyway, the shocking things were, there are a lot of Indonesian product in here.. When we go to a place to have some lunch, we saw the menu and from there we saw a lot of Indonesian dishes like Gado-Gado, Bakmi Goreng, Bakso Soup, Soto Ayam, Rujak Buah, Ayam Goreng, Ayam Penyet, Daging Rendang, etc (although they have some mistakes on spelling of those food's name, and they wrote that Soto Ayam is a Japanese soup, I'm so proud of being Indonesian!) We also check their minimart, which have a lot of Indonesian product such as Susu Bendera, Indomilk, some product of shampoo, soap, tissue, etc.. A lot of it! Until we saw an advertisement on Indonesian cement's product "Portland Cement Made In Indonesia" (Yes, they wrote a big Made in Indonesia there!).. Well then, we went back to our hotel and had some dinner and pack our things up for tomorrow journey to ClubMed Kani..

Early in the morning in the 24th, we woke up and getting ourself ready to go to the airport.. We arranged the meeting with ClubMed Kani's representative in the airport.. Around 2pm, finally we travel using 20minutes speedboat to Kani island.. It is such a beautiful paradise on earth! We went to the Lagoon Suites accompany by Japanese GO.. She explained a lot on the benefit of lagoon suites and all activity we could do in the island.. We then took a picture of our beautiful room and hanging around in the Manta Lounge and finally swimming in the ocean directly from our suites.. In the afternoon, they're having a seaside cocktail party.. Then we had our fine dining dinner.. After that we watch their Bollywood night dance and followed by cultural night where there's a lot of stand from countries around Asia showing their culture.. Indonesian were there, teaching people on doing the Balinese massage.. All of them are from Bali, working in the spa boutique in this island..

Second day in Clubmed, we served by breakfast in room.. We ordered Japanese breakfast.. then we decided to see the snorkeling activity.. Hubby can't swim, and the snorkling activity requires swimming test.. So we decided to cancel it and just swim around the suites again.. On the afternoon we go to the central of the island, searching for activity to do and having ourself the island tour.. At 5pm, they have a unique sea-side tea-time, with a beautiful decoration (we even thought there's someone getting married there) we then meet Indonesian GO there.. and finally he had a lot of suggestion for us to do in this island.. On the night, there's a beach party.. So we decided to go, and the Indonesian GO accompany us.. He then introduced us to the snorkeling team, and he ask us to do the snorkeling lesson to be able to snorkeling tomorrow..

So the next day, we're ready to have the snorkeling lesson.. we found that it's actually easy, you don't even have to be able to swim to do this.. You just need to learn on how to breath using the snorkle and how to swim fast using the fin.. We then enjoy ourself in their infinity swimming pool and hanging out in the manta lounge.. We had our lazy time, sitting on our bed, watching the TV.. Unexpectedly, we saw their TVs're using Indovision Cable.. So their HBO,etc have the Indonesian's subtitle..  At the night, we then join the Michael Jackson Show which is incredible!

The fourth day we're in ClubMed Kani, we finally have a chance to snorkle.. We went to Coral Island using a speedboat, and we snorkeling around there for an hour.. It is such a beautiful place! Lot of corals, colourful fishes, etc.. We even meet a big group of small fishes swimming nearby us..What a wonderful experience though! Too bad, after that hubby feel not in his good condition, so we decided to take a rest and feeding some fish nearby the manta lounge while sipping our drinks.. It's a perfect day for us.. At the night, we watch the couple show in the theatre and have a little party a while, then we decide to go back and pack our things up..

The last day we're in Kani.. We try to take a lot of picture.. Too bad the weather is not that great which is very windy and a bit dark.. So we just took several pictures, saying goodbye to the GO we know and then directly go to the jetty.. The wave is so big due to the wind, its so scary to travel at this time actually.. The speedboat become so bouncy and the water could easily come in to the boat.. Anyway, we finally reach the Maldives' airport and waiting for our plane to board to Singapore..
We should stay a night at Singapore due to we arrived quite late in Singapore and our flight to Balikpapan is on the 29th Oct.. So we decided to stay in Changi Airport..

This honeymoon is the best experience in my life.. Feeling so happy I could meet and becoming friends with the GO, and can't wait for the next vacation with ClubMed team.. Thanks to everyone that help us to create this wonderful experience.. It is really an unforgetable journey!

Starting a New Life

Soon after the wedding day, I should move out to a small city called Samarinda, place where my hubby works since 2 years ago..
We arrived quite late due to plane delay.. So we directly fallen sleep after we touch down the house..
First day moving in.. The room terribly in a big mess.. Can't imagine how he lived in this room.. So this few days become my time to clean the room up.. From his cupboard, tv rack, and the table we found lots of papers, unused things which directly moved to the trash bin..
Weekend with no water (blame the PDAM), and Sunday (the day to have a lazy day filled by Dangdut music from the neighbour who're having thanksgiving for their newborn child).. So, we went out to shop our daily needs.. Bought some kitchenware, my personal needs, medicine etc..
The 6th day here, still busy cleaning out the room and house.. Thank God the water heater is on now! Anyway, today we caught a quite big mouse in this house ~.~
I can't wait for next week! the honeymoon week (22th Oct - 29th Oct)!

Everything went well, but not for the late from the civil person that creates a big chaos in TeaPai and the late of handbouquet.. Atrina sent it around 19:00 which the event almost started due to changes of flower (from tulip to peony).. Food left quite much and suddenly gone nowhere (my cousins complaint on WO's works)
Anyway, I feel so blessed The Day is done beautifully..
Thanks so much to God, all vendors, church, families, friends and anyone who help us to manage this day.. We are so grateful for this day

Preparation up to September 2012

A month and counting.. Been so busy preparing the "small" A to Z things for the day..
We recently add some vendors again..

We got our handbouquets from Atrina (Colours Floral Studio).. She's the pro on making the handbouquets.. We ordered 2 bouquets for morning and evening.. In the morning we choose some white and pink Calla Lilly, and Cymbidium... On the night we choose fuchsia and some purple tulips, roses and some statice lavender.. Can't wait the result from Mrs. Atrina :D

For make up family, we had  arrange with one of our WO's partner.. her name is Sherly..

Then for the church, we had arrange the choir with Glorious Choir, and the decoration by Flora Florist (which is my cousin).. As well as the Civil person on the day.. The lunch catering will be brought by Ny.Hendrawan and early dinner is Nasi Bogana..

Anyway, finally our invitation has been done and its time to distribute it :D

Preparation up to July 2012

After came back from my trip to Europe, he came down to Jakarta to help our preparation.
First come first, we settle down our Holy Matrimony things with our Pastor..
We did our consultation with pastoral minister and fulfilling letters that need to be given..
Then we have a technical meeting with our WO (Excellent), follow up the souvenir and invitation (as a draft) as well as the decoration (we finally chose the dusty pink-broken white and silver colour)..

Anyway, we finally chose Antheia as our Photo vendor.. Simply because they offer us their special price, as the photographer is my fiance's university friend :) Anyway, we also got a special box for our album later on..

I found an additional wedding shoe for me.. Instead of having my pre-wedding shoes (which actually can be use for the day), I bought a new pair of sandal.. I need this sandal or else he'll be shorter than me on that day.. I choose Donamichi, Mangga Dua.. Its quite cheap (compared to the one I bought in Singapore back then..)

Oh, I also settle down my the civil requirement which are N1, N2, N4 forms that need to be given to church as soon as possible..

Now I'm still stuck on our invitation draft.. Growing up in Chinese family without any background of Chinese language is one of the most problematic thing to settle down this invitation. Our family requires Chinese language invitation, and our vendor should give those draft to their Chinese intepreter (which will take quite long time to wait).. Naming is the most difficult thing at this moment.. Hopefully before the Eid Al-Fitr, we could finish our invitation draft perfectly..
